Clash of Clans August 2026 — The Awesome Quest Season & Full Events Calendar
Clash of Cards turns every troop into a collectible, the community-designed Elephant Rider finally arrives, and three new Crafted Defenses land at TH11. Here's the full Awesome Quest calendar — and what's still live.
August's Awesome Quest season is a card-collecting month. Every troop in the game has been turned into a collectible, the community-designed Elephant Rider has arrived as a temporary troop, and three new Crafted Defenses opened up at TH11. We're halfway through, so here's the full calendar with what's already gone and what you can still catch.
Still Live Right Now
If you only read one section, read this one. These are running as of today:
- Clash of Cards (August 1–31) — the season's centrepiece, and it runs to the last day
- Chief's Chronicles (August 6–31) — the year-in-review statue
- Awesome Medal Event (August 12–31) — including the Elephant Rider
- Clan Games (August 22–28) — not started yet, so no excuse to miss it
- Resource Fest #2 (August 29–31) — the month's last farming window
Week 1 (August 1–7): Cards, Leagues and New Defences
- Clash of Cards (August 1–31) — every troop in the game, Home Village, Builder Base and Super Troops included, is now a collectible card. You pull cards from multiplayer attacks and the Trader Shop, complete binders by rarity, and each completed set pays out. Duplicates can be traded with clanmates or exchanged in the Trader Shop. Open to Town Hall 3 and up, which makes it one of the most accessible events Supercell has run.
- Clan War League (August 1–11) — 15v15 or 30v30 for League Medals. If your clan sat this one out, that's the single loudest signal you're in the wrong clan. New to leagues? Read our CWL guide.
- New Crafted Defenses (from August 1) — three new options at the Crafting Station for TH11+: the Cake-A-Pult, the Hero Hunter, and the Hot Candle.
- Awesome Quest Scenery (August 3–31) — the seasonal village skin, with the villagers gathered on Mount Awesome.
Week 2 (August 8–14): Chronicles and the Elephant Rider
- Chief's Chronicles (August 6–31) — Clash's first proper year-in-review. It walks back through your account history and hands you a statue reflecting your progress. Worth doing before it closes.
- Awesome Medal Event (August 12–31) — collect Card Tokens from battles and quests, convert them to Quest Medals, and spend those on event items and the new Revenge Deck Epic Equipment.
- Elephant Rider — the community-designed troop debuts as a temporary unit inside the Awesome Medal window. Tanking support, and it leaves when the season does.
Week 3 (August 15–21): Farming Window
- Resource Fest #1 (August 15–17) — a 4x boost to Resource Collector production, with the Goblin Builder back for extra upgrades. If your collectors have been idle, this is the weekend to sort them.
Week 4 (August 22–28): Clan Games
- Clan Games (August 22–28) — the usual clan-wide push, with Magic Books, Runes and Gems in the reward tiers. If your clan struggles to max Clan Games, that's one of the clearest signs it's time to find a more active one.
- Revenge Deck Boost (August 26–31) — the new Epic Equipment gets automatically maxed to your Hero Hall limit, so you can actually test it in raids and wars before committing ore to it.
Week 5 (August 29–31): Last Call
- Resource Fest #2 (August 29–31) — the final collector boost before the season rolls over.
The July Balance Update, If You Missed It
Supercell shipped a balance pass on July 9 aimed at the TH18 meta. Dragon armies were appearing in roughly a fifth of all attacks, so Dragon Duke, Dragon Rider and the Town Hall Guardian were all nerfed, while Electro Dragon, Meteor Golem and Druid were buffed — Meteor Golem picking up a 10% hitpoint increase across levels 1–3 plus a small DPS bump. The Flame Blower and Rocket Backpack interaction was temporarily reverted.
If you've been running Dragons on autopilot at TH18, that's why your three-stars stopped landing.
What This Month Means for Clan Hunters
Clash of Cards changes what a good clan looks like this month. Duplicate trading is clan-scoped — you're swapping cards with clanmates — so an active clan is worth measurably more in August than a dead one. A clan of 45 people who never open the game is a binder you finish alone.
Two concrete things to check before you commit anywhere:
- Did they run CWL in week one? August 1–11 is over. A clan that skipped it just told you what the next eleven months look like. League placement feeds every activity score on ClashScout.
- Are they going to max Clan Games? August 22–28 hasn't happened yet, so you can watch it live.
If you're shopping for a new home right now:
- Browse clans actively recruiting and filter by your Town Hall
- Watch the rising clans list toward the end of the month — clans that stack Clan Games and CWL in the same month climb fast
- Or just get matched to clans recruiting at your level
Good luck finishing those binders — and if your clanmates aren't trading, you know where to look.
