Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using ClashScout you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of service

ClashScout is a third-party Clash of Clans clan recruitment and discovery platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Supercell Oy. Clash of Clans is a trademark of Supercell Oy.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not create accounts for others or use another person's account.
• You may not use automated means to create accounts or access the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content including fake clan reviews.
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from ClashScout.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

5. User content

ClashScout lets you publish content that other users can see: clan reviews, clan and player profiles, and clan posts (written by verified clan leaders). By submitting content, you grant ClashScout a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

Your content must not include:

• Anything illegal under UK law — including threats, harassment, hate speech, terrorism-related material, child sexual abuse or exploitation material, grooming, fraud, or scams.
• Bullying, abuse, or content targeting private individuals.
• External links, advertising, or spam (clans have a dedicated Discord link field).
• Anyone else's personal information.

Content is filtered automatically at submission and may be removed by us at any time, without notice, if it breaks these terms or the law. Clan posts are made on behalf of the clan — the leader who posts remains responsible for them.

6. Reporting content and complaints

Every clan post and review has a report button (the flag icon). Anyone can report content — you do not need an account. You can also report anything on the platform by emailing hello@clashscout.gg.

• We review every report and remove content that is illegal or breaks these terms as quickly as we reasonably can.
• If your content was removed and you believe we got it wrong, email us — we will review the decision and reinstate the content if we agree.
• If you are unhappy with how we handled a report or any other safety concern, the same address is our complaints route. ClashScout's operator is personally responsible for content safety and handles these directly.
• Repeated or serious violations will result in account termination.

7. Clash of Clans API

ClashScout uses the official Clash of Clans API provided by Supercell. Clan and player data is sourced from this API and is subject to Supercell's Fan Content Policy. We make no warranty that this data is accurate or up to date.

8. Disclaimers

ClashScout is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime or the accuracy of any clan or player data. We are not responsible for any disputes between players and clan leaders.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ClashScout after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
