Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using ClashScout you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of service

ClashScout is a third-party Clash of Clans clan recruitment and discovery platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Supercell Oy. Clash of Clans is a trademark of Supercell Oy.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not create accounts for others or use another person's account.
• You may not use automated means to create accounts or access the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content including fake clan reviews.
• Harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from ClashScout.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

5. User content

ClashScout lets you publish content that other users can see: clan reviews, clan and player profiles, and clan posts (written by verified clan leaders). By submitting content, you grant ClashScout a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

Your content must not include:

• Anything illegal under UK law — including threats, harassment, hate speech, terrorism-related material, child sexual abuse or exploitation material, grooming, fraud, or scams.
• Bullying, abuse, or content targeting private individuals.
• External links, advertising, or spam (clans have a dedicated Discord link field).
• Anyone else's personal information.

Content is filtered automatically at submission and may be removed by us at any time, without notice, if it breaks these terms or the law. Clan posts are made on behalf of the clan — the leader who posts remains responsible for them.

6. Reporting content and complaints

Every clan post and review has a report button (the flag icon). Anyone can report content — you do not need an account. You can also report anything on the platform by emailing hello@clashscout.gg.

• We review every report and remove content that is illegal or breaks these terms as quickly as we reasonably can.
• If your content was removed and you believe we got it wrong, email us — we will review the decision and reinstate the content if we agree.
• If you are unhappy with how we handled a report or any other safety concern, the same address is our complaints route. ClashScout's operator is personally responsible for content safety and handles these directly.
• Repeated or serious violations will result in account termination.

7. Clash of Clans API

ClashScout uses the official Clash of Clans API provided by Supercell. Clan and player data is sourced from this API and is subject to Supercell's Fan Content Policy. We make no warranty that this data is accurate or up to date.

8. Paid promotion

Verified clan leaders can pay to promote their clan. Three options are available:

• Priority: £19.99 per month, recurring until cancelled. Your clan appears above every Featured clan, carries a Priority badge, and is included in the ClashScout weekly email. Limited to two clans at a time.
• Featured — £9.99 per month, recurring until cancelled. Your clan appears in the featured row above the recruiting results and carries a Featured badge.
• 24-hour boost — £5, one-off. The same placement for 24 hours from the moment payment completes.

The order of clans within each tier is shuffled on every visit, so no single position is guaranteed.

Promoted clans appear in a separate row that is clearly labelled as advertising. Paid promotion does not change your position in the ranked results below it, which are ordered by activity score alone and cannot be bought.

Promotion buys placement, not results. We do not guarantee views, applications, or new members. We may refuse or withdraw promotion for any clan that breaks these terms, and will refund the unused portion if we do.

9. Clan analytics

Verified clan leaders and co-leaders can unlock clan analytics in Clan Command: member activity, war and raid performance, and warning signs about members who may be drifting.

• Free month: each clan can have one free month of analytics. No card is needed, and it does not turn into a paid plan on its own. The free month belongs to the clan, not to the person who started it, so it cannot be used again by another leader, a co-leader or a new account.
• Clan analytics: £4.99 per month for one clan, recurring until cancelled.
• Family analytics: £14.99 per month, recurring until cancelled, bought by the owner of a ClashScout clan family. It covers every clan in the family while it is in the family, including clans added later.
• A clan with an active Priority listing has analytics included at no extra cost.

Analytics is built from Clash of Clans API data recorded by ClashScout, so it only covers the period we have been recording a clan and can contain gaps. It describes what members have done; it does not predict what they will do.

10. Payments, cancellation and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. ClashScout never receives or stores your card details. Prices are shown in pounds sterling, or in US dollars or euros where we offer them, and include any applicable tax.

Cancelling a subscription. You can cancel at any time from your clan dashboard, under “Manage billing”. Cancellation stops future payments. Your clan keeps what it paid for (its placement, or analytics) until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed after that.

Your 14-day right to cancel. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase made online. By buying promotion or analytics you ask us to start it immediately.

• For a subscription, if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, email us and we will refund that payment in full.
• For a 24-hour boost, the service is fully performed within 24 hours. Once it has run, the right to cancel no longer applies. If you change your mind before it has run, email us and we will refund it.

Something went wrong? If you paid and did not get the placement you paid for, email hello@clashscout.gg and we will fix it or refund you. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Failed payments are retried automatically by Stripe. If payment ultimately fails, the promotion ends and your clan returns to the normal ranked results.

Prices may change. Any change applies from your next renewal, never mid-period, and we will tell you before it takes effect.

11. Disclaimers

ClashScout is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime or the accuracy of any clan or player data. We are not responsible for any disputes between players and clan leaders.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ClashScout after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
