New on ClashScout: Send Each Discord Notification to Its Own Channel

Until now, connecting your clan to Discord meant picking one channel and sending everything to it. War announcements, new applications, member joins, the daily digest — all of it in a single stream, in whichever channel you happened to authorise first.

That was fine for a small server. For anyone running a properly organised Discord, it meant your #general filled up with recruitment noise, or your recruiters had to scroll past war reminders to find applications.

You can now connect as many channels as you want to the same clan, and decide separately what each one receives.

How It Works

Connect a channel from your dashboard exactly as before. The difference is that you can now do it again — and again — for the same clan. Each connection is independent and carries its own switches for all six notification types:

• New applications
• Member joins & leaves
• War announcements
• War ending reminders
• Daily application digest
• Player match alerts

So a typical setup might be:

• #recruitment — new applications
• #war — war announcements and war ending reminders
• #general — member joins & leaves
• #leaders — the daily application digest

Nothing is duplicated. A notification goes only to the channels you've switched it on for.

Two Things Worth Knowing

New channels start with everything off. When you connect a second channel, all six toggles begin switched off rather than on. This is deliberate — if additional channels inherited the defaults, connecting a second one would silently double every notification into both places. Switch on only what that channel is for.

You name your own channels. Discord's API doesn't tell us the channel name when you authorise a webhook — it only hands back an ID. So you'll be asked to type a label when you connect. Call it whatever makes sense to you; it's only ever shown to you in your dashboard.

The /notifications Command

If you use the /notifications slash command in a server with more than one connected channel, it now applies to the channel you ran it in. Run it in #war and you're editing #war's settings.

Servers with a single connected channel behave exactly as they always did, so if you've only ever connected one channel, nothing about your setup changes.

Not Set Up Yet?
