Clash of Clans recruitment: how it actually works
Clash of Clans recruitment happens in three places: the in-game clan search, Discord recruiting servers, and clan finder sites. In-game search is the largest but tells you nothing about whether a clan still plays. Discord is fast but scrolls away in minutes. Clan finders let both sides filter on real activity, which is why most serious recruiting now starts there.

The three places recruiting happens
In-game clan search. The biggest audience by far, and the least information. Players can filter by location, required trophies, war frequency and clan level, none of which tell them whether the clan is still awake. As a leader you cannot reach anyone directly: you write a description and wait.
Discord recruiting servers.Fast, personal, and gone in minutes. A recruiting post lives at the top of a channel for as long as it takes for five more to arrive. Good for a push when you have spaces to fill this evening, poor as a standing shopfront. ClashScout's own Discord server has a recruiting channel with a bump command for exactly this reason.
Clan finder sites. A listing that keeps working while you sleep, and filters that let a player rule your clan in or out honestly. ClashScout tracks 78,801 clans and scores each on real activity, with 118 clans claimed by a verified leader.

Verify the clan, write a listing that says who you want rather than how great you are, and keep it current. What recruitment cannot fix
A clan that loses people faster than it recruits has a retention problem, not a recruiting problem, and more applications will not solve it. The usual causes are unclear expectations at the door and nobody noticing when a member goes quiet for a fortnight. Both are cheaper to fix than replacing a third of your roster every month.

What is the best way to recruit for a Clash of Clans clan?
List the clan somewhere players can filter by town hall, language and war frequency, then keep that listing accurate. Most applications are lost to listings that describe a clan as it was six months ago. Posting in Discord recruiting servers works too, but a post is visible for minutes, while a listing keeps working.
Is Clash of Clans recruitment free?

How do I prove I lead the clan?

Why do people leave clans so quickly?
Usually a mismatch nobody checked at the door: a war clan that recruited a farmer, or a player who expected daily wars from a clan that wars twice a month. Saying plainly what the clan does, in the listing, costs you some applications and saves the ones you take.
